Overview
VMware is a technology provider full of multi-cloud products and services that benefit all types of apps. Our senior capstone project was tasked with the development of a new product that focuses on developer experience. Our role as a group of four human factors students from Tufts University was to provide VMware with the support on the launch of their new product. Through various meetings with our client we were able to define a scope of our project: the creation of a central app developer ecosystem that would consist of incorporating features that help developers get through their set of responsibilities: downloading a software development kit (SDK), using a design system, receiving requests to help other developers and understanding how users can measure success post-creation of their app.
My Impact
Led a team of 4 student designers to brainstorm and prototype the Telecom App developer ecosystem product.
Conducted 5+ rounds of user interviews to evaluate and iterate on product information architecture and user pathways.
Created and iterated the low-fi and high-fi prototypes for 3 main features: developer workflow (API onboarding, component repository, testing, troubleshooting), request center, and developer community.
Collaborated with the UX designer and engineers from VMware to define project scope and approaches.
